My paintings are partly fictionalized and partly autobiographical answers to classical literary references. The stories are usually about characters who send out their wishes without considering potential recipients. In terms of content and form, they want to conquer the space within a narration as well as on the canvas.
I do not seek to achieve a degree of virtuosity in the practice of painting, but rather playfully reject the praise of high culture art. I prefer to tell a story as intensely and humourisly as possible without any connection to masculine establishment.
